Balance Your Life with Healing Humor

When was the last time you laughed with a friend? All your worries vanished, at least for those few uplifting moments.

It is always important to get your daily dose of fruits and vegetables, but just as important is your one lusty laugh a day. Would you like to laugh just for the “health” of it? It has been said that laughter is the best medicine. Now, research has proven it. Ongoing research in the science of laughter points to the method’s capacity for reducing stress and diminishing social isolation while improving self-confidence and general sense of well-being.

Dr. Lee Burk, at the University of California, reports strong evidence of laughter’s role in boosting the immune system and, therefore, laughter is likely to aid in preventing some illnesses altogether.

At a recent AATH (Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor), Dr. Earl Henslin, who has written a book on SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computerized Tomography) brain imaging, integrating recent scientific studies with findings from his own clinical practice.

Wiemelt has joined the Laughter Leaders across the country showing Americans how to laugh their way to happiness and health.

“This is not only a break through in integrative healing strategies,” says Wiemelt, “It can be done at work during your coffee break or in the backyard, with your neighbors. The most typical reaction to the Laughter Club has been that we need them now more than ever.”

Laughter is a universal language, which in laughter groups acts as a powerful social and emotional glue. There are some really important rules to follow:

  • Smile – it’s a gift that keeps on giving
  • Be flexible in your life – do something different today that you wouldn’t normally do
  • Get with kids – they laugh and their laughing is contagious.
  • Did you know you live a life of comedy? Pay attention – you will find many little things that you could help Jay Leno be even funnier
  • TODAY is the only day you get – enjoy each and every moment. Laugh until you find your joy.

Kitty will help your group find the joy in the moment and enable each of you to be happier AND more productive. It’s a great way to balance your life.
